Citizen TV anchor Jacque Maribe is back at the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road.
The journalist has been in the middle of Monica Nyawira Kimani’s murder investigation after her fiance Joseph Kuria Irungu aka Jowie was linked to the gruesome murder of the 28 year old businesswoman.
Ms Maribe on Thursday presented herself at Kilimani Police Station where she was grilled and was later referred to the DCI headquarters.
She reportedly left the offices at around midnight.
She told the detectives that she met Jowie sometime this year at a night club. Theirs was a love at first sight as they got engaged only six months into the relationship.
She also divulged that she once saw the prime suspect in Kimani’s murder with a pistol but asked him to get rid of it.
This was after the police found a pistol and bullet under their bed in their Royal Park apartment.

Jowie also claimed to have been shot in his left shoulder by three men hanging around Jacque’s apartment. Initially, he told the police that the attack happened inside the house but later disowned the first account of events.
Neighbours and Jacque have told detectives that they did not hear any gunshots on the said night.
