Chelsea have tabled a contract that will see N’Golo Kante double his wages and become the highest earner in the club.

The French midfielder is expected to earn £290,000 per week in a five year contract extension. His annual salary is projected at £15m.

If he signs the deal, the former Leicester City man will eclipse Eden Hazard in the wage rank who is currently on a £220,000 per week contract.

The development is believed to aim at preventing his suitors such as Paris Saint-Germain in taking him away from Stamford Bridge.

Kante joined the Blues in 2016 from Leicester City at a price of about £30m.
