TopfryNakuru RFC are in mourning after loosing star flanker Mike Okombe. Mike Okombe met his death through a stab. It is alleged that he was stabbed by a woman said to be his wife under unclear circumstances.
He died in Nakuru and his brother was being questioned by the police.
Mike Okombe played for the Kenya Rugby National team 15s as an open side flanker. He was set to join Kabras RFC next season.

His current team Topfry Nakuru RFC confimed his death on its website, they said
‘Nakuru RFC just lost one of its players Mike Okombe who plays for Kenya 15s under very unclear circumstances, the body lying is at valley hospital. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing on of one of our own. Keep the family and the entire Nakuru rugby fraternity in your prayers during these trying times’.
Police are currently searching for the woman who stabbed the rugby star. The 37 year old woman identified as Mary Anne Mumbi stabbed the athlete on the chest while they were attending a friends birthday party at London estate in Nakuru. A friend said that there was a disagreement between the two lovers before she stabbed him.
