Deputy President Kithure Kindiki said Kenya Kwanza’s development record is unmatched, challenging opposition leaders to get ready to account for their time in public service when the time comes.

The DP said President Ruto’s government is wholly focused on fulfilling its expansive development agenda covering every part of the country, reiterating its commitment to serve all Kenyans equally.

“We are doing a lot to develop every part of the country. The President is working hard to ensure every region is developed. No part will be left behind because of how they voted or where they are located or which tribe. We have one President serving all Kenyans. It doesn’t matter how the people voted. We have one country, one President and we are moving forward as one nation,” he noted.

The DP spoke on Saturday at Enooseiya, Narok East, Narok County during a resource mobilization event to raise funds for 23 churches in the Constituency.

He said the opposition will have a tough time convincing Kenyans to support them, highlighting the government’s strong development record in roads, water, electricity and empowerment.

“When the time comes, all of us will face wananchiand explain to them what they did to improve their lives when they were in office. Some have occupied senior and influential offices but have nothing to show. The President and I will fully account for what we have done for the people of Narok and the whole country,” he added.

In Narok, the government has revived roads abandoned by previous administrations and has planned the tarmacking of new ones. Among them is completion of Ngong-Suswa Road and construction of NairragieEnkare-Suswa Roads among others. The County is also a beneficiary of fresh produce markets with 17 in various stages of completion including Suswa and Ntulele which have been finished and awaiting official opening.

The government has also allocated Sh2.4 billion for last mile electricity connection in the County, of Sh213 million for Narok East Constituency. Prof. Kindiki promised to push for more allocations to ensure more resideget access to power.

The Narok International Airport is also being fast-tracked as well as the Leather tannery factory coming up in the devolved unit.

“We are developing Narok county so it rises to the level of other counties,” he stated.

He urged the residents not to be incited against each other stressing the importance of communities coexisting for the nation’s prosperity.

“We must live in peace, compete on policies, not resort to violence and other retrogressive things,” DP said.

Present were National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwah, National Assembly Majority Whip Silvanus Osoro, MPs Ken Aramat (Narok East) and Gabriel Tongoyo (Narok West) among others.
