US Police in the city of Los Angelese have confirmed to TMZ that they are looking for the thief who stole Lupita Nyong’o’s pearl dress after the Oscars on Sunday evening.

The white dress designed by Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein and contains more than 6,000 pearls, is said to be worth around Ksh 13 million or $150,000.

The police reportedly received official report about the theft on Wednesday evening from a member of Lupita’s team. The thief didn’t steal anything but the dress. There are currently no suspects but the police is reviewing the hotel’s CCTV to see if the culprit was covered in any of the security cameras.

Earlier this month, thieves stole the Oscar statuette won by Charlie Chaplin in 1929 from a museum in Paris.
