    Man dies after being punched in head in Machakos bar fight

    A fight between two brothers turned tragic when one of them died after being punched in the head in a bar in Yatta, Machakos County.

    The two were in the joint on Sunday dawn when they started to argue.

    It was then that Dennis Mwanzia Wambua, 26 was hit in the head with a fist.

    He later complained he had been injured and was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

    The other brother was later arrested for interrogation pending arraignment, police said. The body was moved to the mortuary for autopsy.

    In Kadzandani, Mombasa County, a boda boda rider was electrocuted at a car wash yard in a tragic incident.

    The victim who was identified as Daniel Mungai Kinuthia, 37 had gone to the yard in the Mwembeni area on Sunday but did not find the attendants.

    He then decided to wash the motorcycle on his own. Police and witnesses said it was then that he was electrocuted and later rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

    In Kimilili, Bungoma County, a man was found dead in Kibisi river after a suspected murder.

    Police said the body had a deep cut in the back of the head and is suspected to have been inflicted by a sharp object. The body was moved to the mortuary for identification and other procedures.

    In Moi’s Bridge area, Uasin Gishu County, a mechanic died after an engine block he was working on trapped him.

    The mechanic had raised the engine of a tractor to enable him to repair the same when it slid and trapped him.

    He was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The body was moved to the mortuary for autopsy.

    And the bodies of two men who were found dumped in a forest in Gede, Kilifi County were identified.

    Police said one of them was identified as Ruben Athman Nzuya, 39 from Nyali in Mombasa and Abu Mohamed Salim, 36 from Vanga, Kwale County.

    The motive of their murder was not known, police said adding one of them had two bullet wounds.
    Investigations are ongoing to establish the motive and those behind the same.
