A 20-year-old man was found murdered and his body abandoned on the roadside in Magena area, Kisii County.
Police said the body of Tomson Osiemo was found.

The body had injuries on the head when it was found in the area. The man had been missing from his home for one night before the body was found.

The motive of the murder is not known so far and no arrests have been made, police said.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.

Elsewhere in Sigomere, Siaya County, one Bernard Okoth, 40 was found lying in a pool of blood with multiple cuts in the head and legs.

The motive of the murder was not immediately known, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

In Narok, the skeleton of unknown person fully decomposed was found along the river bank. Police said the skeleton was found by locals who alerted the local officials. It seemed to have been swept to the area by the raging water.

In Wajir’s Barwaqo area one Mohammed Salat, 26 was stabbed and killed by an assailant in an argument.

The deceased was pronounced dead at a local hospital while the suspect was arrested hours later.

Police said he will face murder charges.

A kitchen knife believed to have been used the fatal attack was recovered from the scene after the Thursday afternoon murder.

An autopsy was later conducted on the body before it was handed over to the family for burial, police said.

Murder cases have been on the rise amid efforts to solve them in the country, police say.
