The private parts of a man recently attacked in Migori county have been recovered in Tanzania, police say.

Felix Otieno, 30, was attacked by unknown people in Suna East Sub-county on April 13.

Reports indicate Otieno was on his way from a drinking joint in Masara trading centre when he was attacked and his manhood chopped off.

Confirming the new revelations, Migori County police boss, Joseph Nthenge said Otieno’s manhood was recovered in Sirare, Tanzania, on Wednesday night by officers acting on a tip off.

Nthenge revealed that the officers were trailing a suspect, who upon learning he was being pursued dropped a polythene bag containing the genitals.

He confirmed that the genitals were taken to Migori Level Four Hospital.

Otieno is currently recuperating at Kisii Level Five Hospital, where he was admitted shortly after the incident.

Police continue to pursue the criminals said to be behind the attack.
