Suna West Independent MP Peter Masara and his Kuria East Counterpart Kitayama Maisori.

Two Migori Members of Parliament have differed over the call by the opposition on its supporters to boycott goods and services from certain companies.

The two legislators Suna West Independent Member of parliament Peter Masara and his Kuria East counterpart, Marwa Maisori Kitayama while speaking separately differed over the same.

According to Masara, the call by opposition to boycott services and products of companies perceived to have aided Jubilee to deny opposition victory during August 8 polls, is the only way of reminding Jubilee of their illegitimacy in the Government.

They said Jubilee leaders should refrain attacking opposition leader Raila Odinga and NASA on his stand on protests and boycotts.

On his part, Maisori called on the youths to resist being used by the political class as they are only being “organized into Militia and incited to cause disturbance and mayhem to the public that has a great impact on the economy of the country”.

He termed the touted and looming protests by the opposition as a show of lack of proper leadership saying that it cannot be compared to the Arab Spring which spread spontaneously in the Arabic speaking countries.

Kitayama said the opposition are organizing their members to engage economic boycotts and protests because they clear and sustainable agenda.

The two however agreed that an agreement will be reached if the two opposing sides of the political divided can have a round table dialogue to help iron out key political issues affecting the country.

Kitayama called on Migori youths not to be misused by selfish leaders that will make them not realize their potential.

This comes even as an air of strife hangs between the Luos and Kuria communities who share the County with the latter who support Jubilee government calling for a referendum so that they can have their own County.
