    Motorist Says He Ran Over Policeman On Jogoo Road For Sleeping With His Wife

    Motorist who ran over traffic police has accused the police officer of ruining his marriage as the reason for hitting him. A CCTV camera on Jogoo road captured the motorist running over the police after a small altercation.

    He ran over the police and sped off leaving the police with serious injuries. The incident happened in October but the policeman’s lawyer said that Mr.Geoffrey Sungura Wekesa was using his position to avoid arrest over the incident.

    It was earlier reported by Citizen T.V that he worked for the Ministry of immigration but the ministry distanced itself saying he was not their employee, He is said to be working with an immigration consultancy firm.

    Geoffrey said that the policeman Henry Kemboi who was based at Makongeni police station was having an affair with his wife who has since left her marital home leaving him to be the sole guardian for their two Children.

    Mr. Kemboi had however said that the two were neighbors and had a disagreement over water issues.

    The motorist who has been in police custody since Friday was released on cash bail of Ksh. 500000 with an alternative bond of one million Kenya shillings. The case is set to be heard on November 20.
