munyaFormer Meru Governor, Peter Munya has formally backed Raila Odinga’s presidential bid ahead of the fresh polls as ordered by the Supreme Court on Friday.

Munya who doubles up as Party of National Unity (PNU) chairman on Monday said that ‘we must put to an end the culture of stealing elections in Kenya.’

He is throwing his weight behind Odinga who like him accused the IEBC of rigging him out.

Munya also insisted that he will be petitioning the Meru gubernatorial results. He said that Jubilee’s Kiraitu Murungi was not the rightful winner.

Meru is considered a Jubilee stronghold but the PNU chairman’s move could render it a swing vote area.

Part of the welcoming committee was Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula.
