Sisters Of Mary Mukumu Nuns Dismiss Teachers From St Joseph Academy Without Notice

Teachers at St Joseph Academy Kakamega woke up to a rude shock to being terminated. The teachers are said to have been terminated with immediate effect.

The school that is run by the Nuns from sisters of Mary Mukumu said the termination was due to the change in management. The management has seen 12 out of the 22 teachers sacked without a justifiable reasons,

The parents are the school are contemplating transferring their children from the school as their children were used to the sacked teachers.

A parent who spoke to Kahawa Tungu said that she felt pity for teachers who had been sacked as they had families which they supported.

The school has been known for good performance and has produced Kakamega county students.

There has been a disconnect in institutions run by nuns in the recent past. St Marys hospital management was also sent packing after a disagreement between a priest and the nuns. The hospital activities came to a stand still.
