NYS suspects wants politicians and the President gagged from speaking about the case against them
Defense lawyer Assa Nyakundi asked the court to gag the politicians from speaking about the case saying that the utterances were sub judice as the suspects were being tried by the courts and not the politicians.
“It is this court that is trying the suspects…not the politicians,” Nyakundi said, “Stop public discussions of this case since they defeat the right to fair trial.” the lawyer said
She said that the court should not be stopped from conducting a fair trial due to the influence of the politicians.
This comes a few days after President Uhuru said that the government would do everything to make sure that the corrupt official from the NYS scandal would be brought to book or return the money that was stolen.

“We will do everything in our power to ensure that the culpable pay the price and return the stolen resources.” the President said during the NYS pass out parade.
Politicians have always publicly spoken about the case at various forums.
