Ona Batlle Pascual is a Spanish professional footballer born on 10 June 1999 in Vilassar de Mar, a town in the province of Barcelona, Catalonia.
She plays primarily as a full-back, capable of operating on either the right or left flank, and is known for her technical ability, speed, versatility, and contributions in both defense and attack.
She currently represents Arsenal in the Women’s Super League and the Spain national team.
Batlle rose through the ranks of women’s football in Spain and England, establishing herself as one of the leading full-backs of her generation through consistent performances at club and international level.

Ona has an older brother named Joan, who is three years her senior.
He played a pivotal role in introducing her to football.
As a child, she began kicking a ball with him in the family patio and near their grandmother’s house.

Career
Batlle’s football journey started locally with Unió Esportiva Vilassar de Mar around the age of six, after a brief period in artistic roller skating while waiting to meet the age requirement for organized football.
Scouted by FC Barcelona around age 11 or 12 during a match with the Catalonia under-12 side, she joined the club’s youth system and progressed through La Masia.

She featured for Barcelona B from 2014 to 2017 and had limited first-team exposure.
Seeking more senior opportunities, she moved to Madrid CFF for the 2017–18 season, making 28 league appearances, before joining Levante for two seasons (2018–2020), where she scored three goals in 39 league games.
In 2020 she signed for Manchester United in England, spending three seasons there and making 59 Women’s Super League appearances with two goals.
She earned recognition as a key player during that period.
In 2023 she returned to Barcelona on a free transfer, contributing significantly over three seasons with 66 league appearances and nine goals while helping the side dominate domestically and in Europe.
In the summer of 2026 she joined Arsenal on a free transfer, returning to the Women’s Super League.
Internationally, she progressed through Spain’s youth teams before making her senior debut in 2019 and becoming a regular starter, including key roles in major tournaments.

With Barcelona, Batlle has collected multiple Liga F titles (including consecutive successes in her second spell), several Copa de la Reina trophies, Spanish Super Cups, and two UEFA Women’s Champions League titles (2023–24 and 2025–26), along with a runner-up finish in another campaign.
