jimmy wanjigiNASA leader Raila Odinga is cooling off from the political tension in Zanzibar.

Odinga left the country for Zanzibar yesterday (Sunday 19th November)after attending a rally in Mathare.

His advisor Salim Lone told the New York Times that the unrest in the country pushed the Opposition  leader to go to Zanzibar.

Raila Odinga left the country hours before the ruling of the the Supreme court which dismissed the petitions saying that they lacked merit therefore upholding the election of President Uhuru Kenyatta after the October 26 polls.

His critics from the Jubilee party such as Moses Kuria however alleged that the former prime minister had gone  into exile and was planing to form a parallel government.

NASA had indicated that they would give their supporters a way forward after the ruling by the Supreme court but they are yet to issue a statement only stating that the ruling does not affect them as they were not petitioners in the said petitions.
