    Drug smugglers have finally taken over the Kenya Ports Authority’s main port as they have removed those who recently pushed for a cleanup of the port following the call by President Uhuru to fight corruption.

    According to insiders, Abu Joho who is the man manipulating KPA’s General Manager in Charge of Port Operations, Captain William Ruto, has now resorted to planting his own close associates who will enable him to control the main port and have his businesses running without hindrances.

    The new KPA Managing Director Daniel Manduku seems to have already been pocketed by the drug running gangs at the port who have necessitated the transfers.

    The powerful procurement manager Anthony Nyamancha who is also brother to the immediate former Nation Media Group’s Editorial Director, Tom Mshindi, has been thrown off to Kampala as the new head of Liason Markets. His position has been taken by close Abu Joho associate Aza Dzengo.

    Mirriam Khamis who headed security at the port and is said to be out of the country on official duties has been redeployed as the new head of ICT at the Nairobi’s Inland Container Depot. Capt. William Ruto believed that Mirriam pushed for his prosecution by DCI officers who were investigating corruption in his office but were compromised, leading to the stalling of the investigations.

    Some other redeployments are as below;

    Trouble is brewing at KPA with the recent changes as the war on corruption at the port is hampered by well-connected cartels controlling the port operations.

    Anthony Muhanji Nyamancha’s problems at KPA seem to stem from the fact that he likes to sleep with women whom he later gives tenders at the port. The particular case which was brought to the attention of KPA managers is that of Faiza Mwarabu whom he has a baby with.

    Observers are wondering how Tony Kibwana who is trained in network administration will handle the sensitive security docket as he never trained in it.
