Two MPs, Saku MP Ali Rasso and North Horr MP Chachu Nganya have been arrested over the Marsabit clashes that has claimed 14 lives so far.
Inspector General Joseph Boinnet had earlier said that there are politicians undermining the efforts of the police to quell the clashes
“I have received very disturbing information to the effect that whilst the county security teams in Marsabit and Narok counties are working hard to contain the violence between some communities in the said counties,some identified politicians are undermining these efforts,” Boinnet said earlier.
The clashes were were ignited after the killing of one one herder in the area leading to the tribal clash between the Borana and the Gabra communities.
