Detectives are looking for a man accused of fatally assaulting his girlfriend in Mowlem, Nairobi.
The body of Ndanu Mutiso, 27 was found in her house long after she had died on Wednesday June 18. Witnesses and police said the woman had been assaulted by her boyfriend in an altercation at the house.
Police said the body was found in her room with injuries in the neck and both hands. The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and investigations.
Police said they are looking for the suspect for questioning and possible arraignment.
Elsewhere in Shartuka location, Narok County, one Elvis Kishoyian, 20 was killed after he tried to attack his father in an altercation.
A relative attacked Kishoyian in the head and floored him in efforts to stop him from attacking his father. He was rushed to the hospital where he died while being treated.
The assailant escaped the scene and efforts to trace him for arraignment are ongoing, police said. The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and investigations.
Elsewhere in Kuresoi, Nakuru County, a child aged one drowned in a family borehole while playing. The child had been playing at a neighbour’s compound on Wednesday when the incident happened, police said.
His mother told police she had left him to play with other children when the incident happened. The body was moved to the local mortuary pending autopsy and investigations.
And in Emuhaya, Vihiga County, one Benson Obuyoka, 80 was killed by a neighbor in a quarrel over a boundary dispute.
Police said they are looking for the assailant. The deceased had been hit in the head in the quarrel and rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to the injuries.
The body was moved to a local mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
In Matisi, Trans Nzoia, the body of a 16-year-old boy was found in a maize plantation with blood oozing from the mouth.
Police said the body had a stab wound in the back. The motive of the murder was not immediately established, police said, as the body was moved to the mortuary for autopsy.
