A 19-year-old man was found dead after an electrocution incident in Obama area, Nairobi.

Police said they found the body of Daniel Omusilingani in a swampy area while holding a wifi cable.

Police suspect the cable was illegally connected to an adjacent structure where the incident happened. The victim was a garbage collector in the area.

He is suspected to have touched the live cable, killing him. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

The suspect, Jefferson Mokaya Miaka, 25 was among five murder suspects who were being taken to the local police station from the court. The police vehicle was on the Tinga-Magombo Road when the suspect removed his handcuff and jumped off before vanishing and Ekoro village.

Police said a hunt on him did not bear any fruits. The hunt on the suspect extended on Tuesday.

And a man was lynched in a failed robbery incident in Villa, Embakasi, Nairobi.

The man was accused of being a thief before he was attacked by a mob and killed. The body was picked up to the mortuary pending an autopsy and identification.
