The Nairobi Business Community has said that they will not sit around as NASA supporters disrupt businesses in the city on Monday.

NASA will hold demonstrations on Monday and Friday, as directed by their Presidential flag-bearer, Raila Odinga.

Wilfred Kamau, the group’s chairman said that they will not allow the opposition supporters loot their businesses in an attempt to dethrone President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He urged members of the GEMA community and their supporters to turn up tomorrow (Monday), to help safe guard Kenyatta’s votes.

“We call upon all our supporters and members of GEMA to come out in large numbers tomorrow to protect our votes,” he said.

“Our silence should not be misconstrued as a sign of fear. We are peaceful Kenyans and we are not selfish.”

“We have been called names including being linked to Mungiki but we will stop at nothing to protect the presidency,” he added.

The group ha however denied links to the outlawed Mungiki sect saying their only mandate is to protect the Presidency and their businesses.

They have also maintained that the elections will be conducted by the IEBC as was directed by the Supreme Court.

They have rubbished calls by the ACK Archbishop Jackson Sapit, who they said was a supporter of the NASA camp.
