    Nairobi Collected Revenue Amounting To Sh1.63 Billion In January – Governor Sonko

    Governor Sonko has said that his government managed to collect revenue of Sh1.63 billion. he said that the high collection was as a result of the strict enforcement that he has put in place.

    He said that the revenue collected will be used in payment of salaries for the 13000 employees within the county as well as to be utilized in the development agenda.

    Governor Sonko says that he will work closely with the national government to ensure better service delivery such as  building seven new bus terminals outside the central business district to allow decongestion of the CBD.

    The governor also highlighted some projects that he has already embarked on such as patching potholes, Beautification projects as well as improving the drainage system in the city.

    Governor Sonko said posting the report was a bid to promote transparency and accountability to the people who voted for him.
