8 people lost their lives in a road accident near Ngonyi, along the Meru – Chuka highway on Saturday.
The accident involved a lorry and a 14 seater matatu which were heading in opposite directions.

Some reports however indicate that the 8 people died on the spot while two others were rushed to Meru Level 5 hospital.
