Kenya will face Senegal, Algeria and neighbors Tanzania in Group C of the 2019 Egypt Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).
The draw for the 32nd edition of the premium continental football showpiece was conducted on Friday night at a colorful event in Cairo.
Kenya will open their campaign against Algeria on 23rd June before facing Tanzania four days later on 27th and Senegal on 1st July.
It was the second time Kenya was landing Senegal at this stage of the tournament.
When the Harambee Stars last graced the championship in 2004, they were pooled with the Teranga Lions, Mali and Burkina Faso in group B.
A brace from Mamadou Niang and goal from Papa Boupa Diop saw Kenya lose 3-0 to the Senegalese. Stars also lost to Mali 3-1 before bowing out of the tournament with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Burkina Faso.
