Protesters calling for fall of President Omar Al-Bashir regime in Sudan took time off their busy schedule to watch Wednesday night’s Champions League proceedings between Manchester United and Barcelona.
Once again the beautiful game proved a uniting factor as the protesters mounted a huge screen outside army headquarters in Khartoum to enjoy the action filled encounter which ended 1-0 in favor of the Spanish giants.
Luke Show turned the ball into his own net under duress in the first half to decide the quarter-finals first leg match.

For over three months now, anti government protesters have been demanding the fall of the Al-Bashir regime over misrule and high cost of living.
Al-Bashir, a former military general, who gained power through a coup, has ruled the country for three decades now and for the first time his regime his being challenged by the masses.
