Career

Rüdiger’s football journey started in the streets and local clubs of Berlin, such as VfB Sperber Neukölln and Hertha Zehlendorf.

He progressed through the youth ranks at Borussia Dortmund before joining VfB Stuttgart in 2011, where he made his breakthrough in professional football.

A loan spell at Roma in 2015 led to a permanent move to the Italian club, where he showcased his potential in Serie A.

In 2017, he transferred to Chelsea in the Premier League for around €29 million, becoming a key figure in their defensive setup and contributing to major successes.
