DR Congo giant AS Vita Club have renewed interest in signing Gor Mahia striker Jacques Tuyisenge, according to a report from Rwanda.

In an interview with Radio/TV10 of Rwanda Vita Club assistant coach Raoul Shoung vowed that they’ll do “anything” to rope in the Rwandan marksman.

The 29-year-old arrived in Kenya in 2016 from Police FC of the Rwandan Premier League and renewed his contract in 2017 by signing a two-year extension.

To land his signature therefore, Vita Club will have to engage Gor Mahia hierarchy in negotiations as reiterated by the club’s CEO Lordvick Aduda.

“We have heard stories of clubs having interest in signing the player, but none have officially contacted us, the player is still contracted to us and they know what to do in such a case, you don’t negotiate on Radio,” Aduda told Kahawa Tungu.

In January, Tuyisenge rubbished rumors linking him with Vita Club move, telling Goal that, “I have no idea where the rumours are originating from, but it is not true. I have a contract with Gor Mahia and I intend to honour it.”

Nicknamed “Ja Usenge” by his adoring fans, Tuyisenge has been a core part of K’Ogalo and so far boasts 10 continental goals. His lone strike against Petro Atletico of Angola from the spot earned the team a historic qualification to the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
