The government has ordered a fresh investigation into the collapsed Metropolitan National Savings and Credit Co-operative Society (Metropolitan Sacco), nearly two years after thousands of members were locked out of their savings. KCB Group dismissed 60 employees in 2025 as the lender intensified efforts to combat fraud, with staff linked to schemes targeting the bank and its customers among those affected.
