Interior PS Karanja Kibicho has had enough of former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko. Speaking to People Daily on Monday after recording a statement with the DCI, the principal secretary said the ex-county chief has to answer to the allegations leveled against him. Kibicho was referring to the sensational claims made on Sunday at a rally in Dagoretti South where Sonko told the crowd that he and the PS, among other planned post-poll violence in 2017. Interior Principal Secretary (PS) Karanja Kibicho is expected at the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road to record his statement over allegations made by former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko. On Sunday, while speaking in Dagoretti South, the ousted county boss claimed that he alongside Kibicho and other members of the “deep state” had second-hand cars burnt during ODM demonstrations in 2017. ODM party leader Raila Odinga has asked Mt Kenya people to view the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report as one that will bring gains to the region rather than a “Raila” project. A dormitory at Kimulot Boys High School in Bomet County has been reduced to ashes following a morning inferno. Property of unknown value was destroyed in the 5 am fire whose cause is yet to be established. National carrier Kenya Airways (KQ) has suspended flights to France and the Netherlands due to the newly introduced Covid-19 regulations in Europe. On Thursday, the IEBC published the names of the verified BBI signatures, their ID numbers, polling stations, constituencies and counties. Nakuru Jubilee party branch has threatened to recommend disciplinary action against Deputy President William Ruto. Speaking on Thursday, party branch secretary-general Peter Cheruiyot alias Mtumishi said the DP contravened the party constitution after endorsing members of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) set to run for MCA seats for Hells Gate and London wards, Nakuru county.
