Kenya Railways will on Monday and Tuesday operate a third pair of passenger trains on its Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) in the night. The night trains will start the journeys from Nairobi and Mombasa at 9 AM and end at 3 AM. Jubilee party national vice-chairman David Murathe has warned rebellious party members about an impending crack of the whip by party leader President Uhuru Kenyatta. On Sunday, Murathe said the errant members will soon receive show-cause letters while other cases will end with expulsion. “The disrespectful and disloyal members will receive show cause letters this week. Former Kaloleni legislator Gunga Mwinga has died. Mwinga died on Sunday morning at Mombasa Hospital where he had been admitted, the family has confirmed. Kenya’s Covid-19 cases have risen to 95,431 in the past 24 hours after 236 tested positive from a sample size of 3,773, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has confirmed. The cumulative tests are now at 1,025,653. From the cases, 211 are Kenyans while 25 are foreigners. In terms of gender,134 are males and 102 are females.
