Three people connected to the Dusit D2 attack have been freed by a Nyeri court after the police withdrew case for lack of evidence. The three; Abdul Kibiringi, James Mwai Mwangi and Habiba Gedi Hunshur were arrested last week on Friday and appeared in court on Monday. Resident magistrate Nelly Kariuki allowed the police to hold the suspects for five days to complete investigations. Deputy President William Ruto has never consented to premature political canvassing, his communications secretary David Mugonyi has said. KK Security guards attached to the United States embassy are decrying the lack of payment of their dues by their employer. According to an insider source, Kahawa Tungu understands that over 900 guards working at the embassy are yet to receive payment for work done after official hours as indicated in their contracts. The government chemist has declared Nuteez peanut butter unfit for human consumption. In a certificate of analysis, the peanut butter was found to contain aflatoxins more than the required limit. It is said to contain 24.08ppb, 10ppb more than the required limit. “The peanut butter exceeds the maximum required limit for total aflatoxins (10ppb) hence not fit for human consumption,” the government chemist analysis read. The aflatoxin producing fungi, Aspergillus, are widely spread in nature and have severely contaminated food supplies of humans and animals, resulting in health hazards and even death. Police have recovered a vehicle belonging to a woman who was allegedly killed by her husband and his mistress over the weekend. Mary Wambui Kimangara’s Mercedes Benz is being held at Ngewa police post in Kwamaiko village Githunguri sub-county, Kiambu. Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo was on Wednesday morning trolled for mourning the wrong singer. In an early morning tweet, the ex-county chief mourned Quincy Jones instead of James Ingram who lost the battle to cancer at the age of 66. The Homa Bay Referral Hospital is in a sorry state as described by a social media user. According to Newton Kapiyo, the referral hospital is in a dilapidated state specially the morgue where bodies are piled up and the wards fully packed with at least three patients sharing beds. Police are looking for 130 persons suspected to be bank hackers. In a seven pull out in the local dailies, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) published names and images of the suspects.
