President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM party leader Raila Odinga on Thursday toured the Green Park bus terminal at Railway Club. “President Uhuru Kenyatta has this morning made an impromptu inspection tour of the Green Park Bus Terminus on Haile Selassie Avenue in Nairobi,” tweeted State House. Polish national arrested after drone strayed into Deputy President William Ruto’s Karen residence on Tuesday has been charged. Piotr Lukasz Litwiniuk was charged with importation of unmanmed aircraft without a permit issued by the authority, operating an unmanned aircraft system without authorisation, operating unmanned aircraft system without pilot licence and failing to register an unmanned aircraft. Police probing the murder of National Lands Commission (NLC) deputy director of communications, Jennifer Wambua, have shifted their focus to some Sh2 million withdrawn from her account two days before she went missing. Wambua had received a sum total of Sh2.7 million meant for the launch of a strategic plan for the commission. She was supposed to use the money to pay suppliers. Former Homeboyz Radio presenter Shaffie Weru has threatened to sue his former employer, Radio Africa, for unfair and unlawful termination of employment. Kenya Airways (KQ) will not remit salaries for its pilots who are demanding less pay cuts in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. KQ director of operations Paul Njoroge, in a memo to the pilots said they will not receive their March salaries until they drop their demands. Two people lost their lives on Monday evening after a car they were traveling in rammed into UDA Bonchari candidate’s convoy. The deceased persons were in a Toyota Probox which according to witnesses was trying to overtake Teresia Oyioka’s convoy. Prime suspect in the murder of 24-year-old Kahawa West waitress, Velvine Nungari, has been released on Sh200,000 cash bail. Joseph Kinyua Murimi was granted bail in a virtual hearing where the prosecution’s application to continue holding him for 30 more days was denied. IEBC has cleared former Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) boss Pavel Oimeke to contest the Bonchari parliamentary by-election. He is running for the seat on an ODM party ticket.
