Charles Ndonye and his wife Virginia Olembo had quadruplets on February 1 at Nairobi South Hospital but could not be discharged as the children needed medical attention. Kisumu county government has approved Covid-19 containment measures after the area recorded a surge in positive cases. In a statement, the county administration said that in the last week alone, the positivity rate rose from 2.5 percent to 4.7 percent, almost a 100% rise. On Monday, of the 200 samples tested, 25 people tested positive for the virus with almost all the cases originating from Kisumu Central. Police have opened an investigation into the death of a Thika businessman whose remains were found in his car in Gatanga. Samuel Murigi’s body was discovered in his Toyota double cabin pickup (Reg No KAQ 553 P) by his wife, Catherine Nduta. He was lying in the driver’s cabin when she found him. A Nairobi court on Monday dismissed an application by Felix Orinda aka Dj Evolve to withdraw the attempted murder case against Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.
