Police have in custody two suspects in connection with the murder of an Egerton university student. The deceased, Eunice Muthoni Njeri, was found dead in River Subuku, Njoro, Nakuru county on December 7, 2020. The 22-year-old is suspected to have been killed by her two close friends, Diana Njeri Muthiomi and Tamar Wambora Njeru, who are also students at the varsity. A woman has been charged with stealing Sh15 million from a Chinese national on the night of February 11 at Phenon estate, Elgon Court, House No.21, in  Langa’ata. Appearing before Kibera senior resident magistrate Renee Kitagwa, Sarah Wanjiru Mwangi is said to have colluded with others to steal from Wang Daoli. The charge sheet showed that Mwangi broke into Daoli’s home with the intent to commit a felony. Baringo County hospital has a new maternal high dependency unit and a newborn unit built worth Sh11 million thanks to Safaricom Foundation. A Ceska pistol used to shoot deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu’s bodyguard in 2017, was also used in three other shooting incidents, a court heard on Wednesday. A police officer on Wednesday evening sought refuge at an army barracks as he tried to get away from auctioneers. Police Constable Joseph Kinuthia drove into the barracks at Embakasi Garrison, Nairobi, as auctioneers chased him trying to repossess his vehicle, Honda CRV. A mother and her newborn quadruplets are being detained at a Nairobi hospital over a Sh2.8 million hospital bill. Virginia Adhiambo, 26, gave birth to her babies -two boys and two girls- on February 1 via C-Section but had complications prompting the doctors to admit her to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). A man is facing up to 3 years behind bars for trying to extort Lamu senator Anwar Loitiptip. Jones Ochieng Mbogo is said to have recorded the legislator smoking shisha, a substance that was banned in Kenya in 2017.
