The news of the appointment of Archbishop-Elect Philip Anyolo Subira was officially made public in Rome on Thursday, October 28, 2021. Google is stepping up its efforts in the protection of minors, by allowing them or their parents to request for the removal of their images from search results. In a blog post on Wednesday, the tech giant said that it was rolling out a tool to allow users under the age of 18 and their parents to request to have their photos removed from the images tab or as thumbnails during a search enquiry. Moi University Main Campus has been closed indefinitely three days after staff members went on strike paralysing learning activities in the institution. Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe says only 10 out of 300 health workers who did an English test for UK jobs passed. The scheme, hatched in July, would have seen hundreds of Kenyan nurses and other health workers get a chance to work in the UK. Currently, there are more than 30,000 jobless Kenyan nurses and healthcare workers in the country. The court has barred activist Boniface Mwangi from further defaming Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua on social media. In a case filed by Mutua, Mwangi was ordered to refrain from associating Mutua with an alleged bomb attack on his house in Machakos, that happened on October 21, 2021. Zoom has rolled out auto-generated closed captions for all user accounts with an aim of making meetings more accessible. Communication Authority of Kenya (CA) Director General Ezra Chiloba has revealed that there are 224 polling stations in the country without mobile network coverage. This comes ten months before the general elections in August 2022, which could force Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to transmit results using satellite mobile phones to the tallying centre. “The 224 polling centres may be served using alternative connectivity technology such as satellite phones.
