Deputy President William Ruto was on Monday, August 2, 2021 blocked from flying to Uganda. According to reports, Ruto was in the company of Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, Benjamin Tayari and other businessmen who were initially blocked, but later allowed to fly out. Visitors from Oltepesi camp have been banned from entering the Maasai Mara national reserve. The Narok county government issued the directive after a video of a tourist playing with a leopard emerged. In the video, a Male tourist is spotted sitting on a  vehicle with the door ajar. Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has banned schools from hiring out their buses for unrelated activities. The CS issued a statement on Saturday saying the move was meant to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. “The Ministry is, therefore, notifying all school administrators and Boards of Management to use school buses exclusively for academic-related purposes.” Magoha urged parents to ensure safety while taking their form one students to report on August 2. The widow of Mombasa-based Dutch businessman Herman Rouwenhorst will remain in custody until September 16 when her bond ruling will be made. Riziki Cherono is being charged with the double murder of her husband and a night guard, Evans Bambo Bokolo. Retired Tanzanian priest and self-declared miracle healer Ambilikile Mwasapile alias Babu wa Loliondo is dead. Mwasapile died in hospital after a sudden illness, his aide Paul Dudui has confirmed. Mwasapile, famously known as Babu wa Loliondo, is a retired priest of the Lutheran Church who shot to fame after declaring himself a miracle healer, whereby he used a tree known as mugariga to make a non-flavored drink which he administered to patients reporting various chronic diseases.
