Detectives from the Flying Squad unit on Saturday morning raided an illegal alcohol manufacturing plant. Confirming the operation, Head of Flying Squad Musa Yego noted that the plant was located in Eastlands. Additionally, he mentioned that the plant is constructed at a premise near Mama Lucy Hospital. Agriculture Cabinet Secretary (CS) Mwangi Kiunjuri on Friday suspiciously skipped an official event hosted by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga at his rural home in Siaya County. Kiunjuri had been invited at the event as the chief guest on Raila’s instructions, however, he did not show up. Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested three suspects in Fedha Estate, Nairobi in possession of fake 10 million US dollars. According to the detectives, the arrests were done following a tip-off. The Milimani High Court on Thursday dropped a firearm case against Migori Governor Okoth Obado. According to the court, investigations disclosed that the county boss followed the law in acquiring the firearms. Following the new revelation, Magistrate Joyce Ngadani directed that the guns be returned to the governor after the officer added that there was no further evidence to sustain the charges.
