A poll is out listing which are the most favourite TV stations in Kenya. Geopoll list Citizen as the most popular TV station attracting more than one billion views. According to the poll, they measure Citizen, KBC, KTN, NTV, K24, QTV, KissTV, Family, and  GBS in Kenya. This must be some good news for Kenya. According to the minister for Energy and Petroleum Mr David Chirchir, the country’s recoverable oil reserves in it’s tertiary rift basin are likely to exceed one billion barrels. Tullow oil recently discovered and drilled four oil wells in Lokichar sub-basin raising the country’s recoverable oil reserves from 300 million barrels to 600 million, David Chirchir said on Friday. “However, with further appraisal drilling which is currently on going, the recoverable reserves are likely to be in excess of billion barrels in the Tertiary Rift Basin alone,” Chirchir said in a statement. “These positive developments…

Veteran movie actor, director and producer, Angelina Jolie, is set to to direct a film about Kenyan conservationist Richard Leakey’s fight with ivory poachers. The Oscar-winning actress of Unbroken, out in December, will go behind the camera once again for Africa, with a screenplay by another Oscar winner, Eric Roth, who is remembered for writing Forrest Gump. Two Iranians in their early 20s were this week arrested in Nairobi, Kenya, while trying to use altered Israeli passports to board a flight to Brussels. The two, a man and a woman, were booked to fly to Brussels and then on to Israel. They went by the names of Adi and Avshalom which were not true since they changed the pictures on the passports. The two Iranians are currently held at JKIA police station where they are being questioned by a combined team of Israeli and Kenyan intelligence officials.
