The next show which is christened Big Brother Hotshots will feature Melvin Alusa who is a 33 year old Actor, Radio Drama Director and MC from Nairobi, Kenya. Melvin come from Kakamega which together with Mombasa are his favourite places in Kenya. Controversial businessman and former priest Paul Kobia is on the radar of Kenya Police again. Sometime in August, Paul Kobia shot and killed one John Wanjohi Mugwanja whom he claimed was a mugger who snatched his phone and ran away with it. He told the police that he chased the mugger, shot him but his accomplice escaped with the phone which was stolen. Paul Kobia’s claims are allegedly backed up by Gigiri DCIO Danny Kandie. Smartphone maker Wiko Mobile, will tomorrow launch its handsets in the Kenyan market as it seeks to boost its sales. The vendor is going to use its Kenya and Nigeria launch as an entry into the nascent Africa smartphone market. Wiko is majority-owned by Chinese technology group Tinno Mobile, manufactures its phones in China. It started operations in France nearly four years ago. A Congolese traveller who was on transit collapsed and died this morning at JKIA. The male passenger who was at the transit lounge located at terminal 1B near gate 12. The sudden convulsion and death of the passenger sent shockwaves throughout the regional hub with most passengers avoiding any close contacts with him. The airport officials tried first aid on him but he didn’t last long. The dead passenger was immediately removed from the area and taken to the mortuary by Kenya Airports Authority officials.

Kenya’s energy sector regulator,Energy Regulation Commission (ERC), has cut the retail prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene to adjust to the falling cost of crude oil. The move seems to be targeted at taming the rising inflation which stands at 8.36 percent as at August, up from 7.67 percent in July.  ERC announces cost of fuel in the country every month having taken over from the oil marketers which used to manipulate the market and adjust the fuel prices whenever they felt so. Former TV queen and now suspected accomplice in a murder, Esther Arunga Timberlake has told an Australian court that her husband Quincy Timberlake told her that he was driving demons and aliens from her son. According to reports appearing in Australian news sites, the young child who died in August was punched in the stomach by the father till he vomited. Former TV queen and darling of many Kenyans, Esther Arunga has now been arrested in Australia for hiding the facts of the murder of her son. The Brisbane police believe that Ms Arunga did hide the facts in the alleged fall of her son knowing very well that her son was murdered. Esther is currently in police custody in Brisbane, Australia. Paul Kobia, the guy who bragged how he will teach Raila a lesson was today beaten badly by Raila bodyguards after he tried storming Osteria restaurant to attack Raila who was having lunch at the same place. Kobia was armed with a pistol while attempting to attack Raila. It is said that he was later rushed to hospital. The nature of his injuries is not clear. What is apparent is that someone really injured him. I hope that Kobia is ok.

Tanzanian fishermen in the southeastern port city of Mtwara are celebrating this week after they discovered the carcass of a whale in the Indian Ocean. The fishermen pulled the carcass many metres to the shores of the Indian Ocean where the villagers have been feasting on the carcass oblivious of the dangers as no one knew what killed the massive fish.
