By Proudly Kenyan Kenyan politics are personality based. The talk of a great leader losing their dignity because of taking an elective position is just hot air being blown by political enemies of one Raila Odinga. The strategy has been executed so well that many of Raila’s supporters have adopted the version. The truth is Kenyans elevate or lower a position depending on who is seated there. If a criminal is in a position that was hitherto held in high regard, the seat becomes less significant. Raila has always had the ability to transform the positions occupied in…

It’s two months after the March 4th, 2013 elections in Kenya. It’s about sixty nine days since the Independent Electoral and Boundaries’ Commission (the IEBC) declared both Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto duly elected president and deputy president, respectively. Will Odinga finally accept the democratic will of the Kenyan people? Apparently not. In numerous incoherent, inconsistent and contradictory utterances since the Supreme…

Our MPs are making lots of noise about the “low salaries” they claim that have been gazetted by the Sarah Serem led Salaries and Remunerations Commission. But the funny bit is that Sarah is currently touring the USA and is so very deaf to whatever insults the MPs are directing her way. See her in the picture above with our ambassador, Elkanah Odembo.

We are being informed by Nyeri residents that the governor, Nderitu Gachagua, has decided to demolish the Health Centre and build his offices in its current place. This is something which should be opposed. I guess that he is getting lessons from Mwai Kibaki who want to have an Hospital in Westlands demolished so that he can have his private offices in its place. How do our leaders think? PATHETIC!!!

Uhuru Kenyatta vowed yesterday that he will protect media freedom. We doubt that he will. Uhuru Kenyatta is known to be high tempered and rarely stomach criticism from the media. Uhuru Kenyatta has sued the media and taken some to the media council for just making casual comments about him Again photo journalist, Boniface Mwangi, was assaulted right in front of Uhuru Kenyatta by a private army of thugs hired by COTU secretary General, Francis Atwoli. You wonder how Uhuru can convince Kenyans that he will protect media freedom when he didn’t stand and stop the assault of a journalist…

A Facebook user is not so amused with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s “PR stunts”. President Uhuru was in Mombasa to watch the performance of the finalists in the Kenya Drama Festival. He was so impressed with the performance of one artist, Daniel Owira of Otonglo Time fame, that he invited the poor young man for a tour of the State House. The President also promised to adopt the young talented kid as his own and so pay his fees to University. The sad bit is that the student will still continue studying at Highway Secondary School.
