Another patient was Thursday killed in a ward at the Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi in a bizarre incident. The patient was found dead in his bed with his throat slashed, police and hospital officials said. The motive of the latest incident is yet to be known. The High Court Thursday extended orders stopping the removal of the recently gazetted Speaker, Abdullahi Jaldesa Banticha. Justice Hellen Wasilwa set the mention for the case on September 22, 2025. The judge had last week stopped the degazettement of Banticha. A police officer was attacked and killed as he waited for help after his motorcycle ran out of fuel in Rarieda, Siaya County. Constable Christone Maundu of Aram police station was on Thursday July 17 found dead on the Ndori-Luanda Kotieno Road after he had been killed. A 31-year-old man was electrocuted while connecting a church music instruments and public address system in a village in Ibencho, Kisii County. Police said Dickson Nyangima was connecting the electronics when he touched a live wire which electrocuted him.
