US singer Chris Brown was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, says the Metropolitan Police. The force says the charge relates to an alleged assault, which reportedly took place at a nightclub in central London on 19 February 2023. A multi-agency team tasked with consolidating existing registers for all students, ranging from foundation learning to university level, to a single database was unveiled Thursday. The team, which brings together State agencies led by the Ministry of Education, development partners, technology providers and other stakeholders, will set up the Kenya Education Management Information System (KEMIS) to replace the current NEMIS which has been criticised for inefficiencies. Police are hunting gunmen who attacked and killed four fishermen at the shores of Lake Turkana, Turkana County. The incident happened at Ekoriangamuk on the shore of the lake within Todonyang area on May 15 in the morning, police said. The motive of the attack was not immediately established. Police said they responded to the scene and found four bodies riddled with bullets. The victims were shot at close range. A worker was electrocuted at a bakery in Nairobi’s Kariobangi area in an incident. The deceased was identified as Rodgers Agangwa, 23. Other employees at the Misters Bakery said the deceased had finished the day’s work and was washing his dust coat when the incident happened on Wednesday May 14.
