At least three people were separately found dead after suspected suicide incidents. The incidents were reported on Monday, police adding this increased to eight, the number of those who died by suicide in two days. Five others had died by suicide on Sunday September 8, police said. These are the latest cases of suicide in a series that have been reported to police in the country amid calls on authorities to address the menace. Major airlines warned of delays and cancelation of flights in the wake of the airport workers’ strike, which kicked off on Tuesday night at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi. Former Kenyan presidential candidate Mohammed Abduba Dida is serving a seven-year sentence in Illinois, United States for stalking and transmitting threats. Dida has been serving his sentence at the Big Muddy Correctional Centre in Illinois since November 18, 2022, after being convicted of stalking and intimidating an unidentified victim. An argument over a parking slot at an apartment turned tragic after a security guard hit and killed a 56-year-old man in Ruiru, Kiambu County. Police said Tony Njoroge had arrived home past midnight on Sunday and parked his car at their apartment in Kitambaya area. Dickson Ndiema, the former partner of athlete Rebecca Cheptegei, has passed away at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret. The hospital confirmed that Ndiema passed away Monday night in the ICU, where he had been admitted. His death comes just days after Rebeca Cheptegei also passed away at the same hospital. Disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein is in hospital in New York for emergency heart surgery, his lawyers have told BBC News.
