The Deputy Inspector General of Kenya Police Eliud Lagat Monday August 12 moved 17 senior officers as he named a new deputy commandant of General Service Unit (GSU). Five family members were killed on Tuesday August 13 morning when their vehicle collided with a lorry in the Mbaruk area of Gilgil, Nakuru County. The victims included a mother and her four children, police said. Detectives are investigating an incident in which a General Service Unit (GSU) police officer was Monday morning killed in Manyatta slums in Kisumu by stabbing.
