Police are looking for a gang of three that raided a home in Malunga village, Migori County and defiled a 15-year-old girl. The gang also raped her mother before robbing her Sh6,000 in the Monday morning incident, police said. The men were wearing facemasks when they struck at about 1 am. The girl was to join form one. Two Chinese nationals were Monday arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport while trying to fly out with 549 Safaricom sim cards. The men identified as Zhang Shihua, 58 and Zhang Cheng, 44 were intercepted by Kenya Airports Authority officers at the central screening terminal 1A departures while preparing to board China Southern Airways destined to China. Upon scanning Shihua’s hand luggage officials found him carrying 549 Safaricom sim cards in two small boxes. Tanzania is set to ban Kenya Airways (KQ) flights from Nairobi to Dar es Salaam. In a statement, Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) said the ban will take effect from January 22. They say two Palestinians from the occupied West Bank have been arrested over the incident in Raanana, about 20km (12.5 miles) north of Tel Aviv. In a pivotal move to enhance public finance management, the Cabinet Monday approved the implementation of the Treasury Single Account (TSA) for National and county governments. During a cabinet meeting chaired by President William Ruto at State House Nairobi, the Cabinet underscored the importance of the TSA in simplifying government banking, creating visibility of government cash resources and increasing transparency in government cash management.
