The death toll of the early Monday morning accident at Ngata, along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway rose to 11 after four more people succumbed to injuries. Rift Valley Provincial General Medical Superintendent James Waweru said among those who died at the hospital were a six-month-old baby and his mother. He said another child was admitted in critical condition after being hit on the head during the 3:30 am road crash that involved a matatu and a truck. Police are investigating an incident in which a plumber died after falling from the third floor of a building along Luthuli Avenue, Nairobi. The victim identified as Peter Karanja Muturi had been on duty on Saturday afternoon at the Amar Bar and Restaurant when he fell off. He landed head-first on the first floor of the adjacent building sustaining serious injuries. Police said he was rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. Police Monday launched a manhunt for two Wells Fargo employees who stole Sh94.9 million they were supposed to deliver to a bank in Nairobi.  The two were identified as driver Anthony Ndiuki, and Daniel Mungai and are missing after the heist, police said. The money was from a vault belonging to the security firm in South C and was to be delivered to a bank in the Central Business District when the incident happened at about 6 am. Stigma plays a significant role in the spread of HIV infections in arid and semi-arid areas, a report has shown. According to data released by the National Syndemic Disease Control Council (NSDCC), AIDS-related complications claim the lives of at least 51 individuals each day. Samburu, Turkana, and Mandera are among the counties recording high infections of the viral disease at 4.3, 2.9, and 0.3 percent, respectively, against 3.7 percent national prevalence. A Pennsylvania nurse is facing additional charges after prosecutors say she admitted to trying to kill 19 patients in her care, according to the state’s attorney general. 10 people have died after a matatu collided with a lorry along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway. According to Nakuru County Police Commander Samuel Ndanyi, the matatu was heading to Nauru while the lorry was moving in the opposite direction. A hostage situation at Hamburg Airport involving a young child has ended after 18 hours, according to local police. The man drove through a security barrier and on to the airport tarmac on Saturday night with his four-year-old daughter in the car and parked under a plane.
