The High Court Tuesday issued conservatory orders temporarily halting the removal of the recently gazetted Speaker, Abdullahi Jaldesa Banticha. The ruling comes amid deepening political infighting and a power struggle that has crippled operations within the devolved unit. At least three Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldiers were Tuesday killed while seven others are nursing injuries following a tragic explosion on their vehicle on the Kiunga-Sankuri road in Lamu County. The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) secured a landmark judgment resulting in the recovery of over Sh67 million fraudulently paid as unauthorized allowances to Faith Jematia Kips, an officer at the National Treasury and Planning.
