There was panic at Nyaribo airstrip in Nyeri County on Monday morning after a light aircraft crash-landed shortly after takeoff. The aircraft, a Cessna 12, registration number 5Y-BZK, overturned a few metres from the runway. No casualties were reported during the incident. A man died in the wee hours of Sunday morning after allegedly jumping off MV Harambee ferry at the Likoni channel. In a statement, the Kenya Ferry Services (KFS) stated the operation to retrieve the body of the man whose identity is yet to be established, is ongoing.
