Bert Kreischer, the shirtless comic famously known as “The Machine,” has carved out a dynamic career in stand-up comedy, acting, podcasting, and television hosting. As of 2024, Bert Kreischer’s net worth is estimated at $20 million, a figure that reflects his massive success across multiple entertainment platforms. While some online sources previously pegged his wealth at $8 million, Bert himself refuted the figure during an episode of his popular podcast 2 Bears, 1 Cave, saying, “Mine’s low. I think they undershoot these.” With a 2024 tour grossing $30 million and close to 400,000 tickets sold across 64 shows, there’s no doubt that Kreischer is laughing all the way to the bank.

    Early Life

Bert was born Albert Kreischer Jr. on November 3, 1972, in Tampa, Florida. His father was a real estate attorney and his mother worked in early childhood development. Bert attended Jesuit High School before heading to Florida State University, where he joined the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and majored in English. Known for his outrageous partying, Bert was featured in a Rolling Stone profile that labeled him the top partier at America’s top party school. That article inspired the creation of National Lampoon’s Van Wilder—though Bert was never officially credited or involved in the film’s production.

    Rise to Comedy Stardom

Kreischer’s stand-up journey began at a local bar in Tallahassee, where he impressed enough to earn a shot in New York City. Soon after relocating, he got a job at the Boston Comedy Club and caught the attention of Hollywood. Over the years, Bert built a successful television and comedy career, headlining specials like Comfortably Dumb, Secret Time, Hey Big Boy, and most recently, Razzle Dazzle in 2023.

In 2016, Showtime aired his breakthrough special The Machine, which features a true story about an encounter with the Russian mafia during a college trip—an anecdote that has since become one of the most viral comedy routines ever.

That story was turned into a full-length action-comedy film titled The Machine, released in 2023, in which Bert stars alongside Mark Hamill. He also executive produced the movie, expanding his role beyond stand-up into film and production.

    Podcasting and Television Ventures

Beyond the stage, Kreischer has made significant strides in the digital space. He hosts his own podcast Bertcast, co-hosts 2 Bears, 1 Cave with fellow comedian Tom Segura, and also co-leads Bill and Bert with Bill Burr. These podcasts, often recorded in his custom-built man cave, have garnered millions of listeners and viewers globally.

Bert has also hosted television shows such as Bert the Conqueror and Hurt Bert on the Travel Channel, as well as the Netflix reality series The Cabin with Bert Kreischer. He even launched a cooking show titled Something’s Burning, blending comedy with culinary chaos.

    Personal Life

Bert married LeeAnn Kemp in 2003, and the couple shares two daughters, Georgia and Ila. The family resides in Los Angeles, where LeeAnn hosts her own podcast, Wife of the Party, from Bert’s famed man cave. Despite his energetic and often outrageous public persona, Bert has described himself as a “mediocre but loving” father.

In real estate, the Kreischer family made a smart investment in 2010 by purchasing a modest home in Valley Village, California, for $529,000. After extensive renovations—including a backyard studio—Bert turned the space into his creative hub. The family also owns additional properties in Los Angeles and Tampa, Florida.
