    Bungoma Deputy OCS Lynched After Shooting Dead Boda Boda Riders

    Bungoma Deputy OCS was lynched by an angry mob on Wednesday morning over shooting of two bodaboda riders.

    The Bodaboda riders were digging holes and planting banana trees in protest of the bad roads in the region despite being overtaxed by the county government.

    Deputy OCS Paul Kerich is said to have shot two riders: one of them who sustained injuries and was rushed to Tongaren Health Center while the other one, George Simiyu was shot 4 times killing him on the spot.

    The angry bodaboda riders turned against the officer and stoned him to death.

    Bungoma Governor, Wycliff Wangamati has ordered the County Commander to transfer all Police Officers within Tongaren constituency with immediate effect.
