    Cam Fowler is a Canadian-born American professional ice hockey defenseman who currently plays for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL).

    Born on December 5, 1991, in Windsor, Ontario, he was raised in Farmington Hills, Michigan, granting him dual Canadian-American citizenship.

    Fowler is known for his smooth skating, offensive contributions from the blue line, and longevity in the league.

    He was selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the first round, 12th overall, of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and spent the majority of his career with the Ducks before being traded to the Blues in December 2024.

    Cam has two younger sisters, Peyton and Emily.

    Growing up in Michigan, the family shared a close bond, with Cam often expressing how much he missed his sisters during his early hockey travels.

    The siblings were raised in a supportive household that encouraged athletic pursuits, and Fowler has spoken warmly of his family’s role in his development both on and off the ice.

    Career

    Fowler’s hockey journey began in the United States, where he played for the U.S. National Team Development Program before moving to the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Windsor Spitfires.

    In 2010, he helped the Spitfires capture the Memorial Cup championship and was named to the tournament’s All-Star Team.

    He made his NHL debut with the Ducks in the 2010-11 season and quickly established himself as a top-pair defenseman.

    Over 15 seasons with Anaheim, Fowler became the franchise’s all-time leader in goals, assists, and points by a defenseman.

    He played in more than 1,000 NHL games, showcasing consistency and reliability while serving as an alternate captain.

    In December 2024, he was traded to the St. Louis Blues, where he continued to contribute offensively and defensively.

    Fowler signed a three-year contract extension with the Blues in 2025.

    Accolades

    Fowler’s notable achievements include being named to the NHL All-Star Game in 2017.

    In junior hockey, he won the Memorial Cup with the Windsor Spitfires in 2010 and earned Memorial Cup All-Star Team honors.

    Internationally, he won gold with the United States at the 2009 IIHF World U18 Championships, where he was named Best Defenseman and to the All-Star Team.

    Fowler has reached significant NHL milestones, including his 1,000th career game, and holds numerous franchise records with the Anaheim Ducks for a defenseman.
